FAQ
Do you charge a fee for each connected machine?
No. All users (including free users) can connect any number of machines at no cost.
Do I have to pay in Euros?
No. Our plans are priced in euros but our payments processors, Stripe and PayPal have options to checkout in your preferred currency.
Can I pay for a year all at once?
Yes, you can pay for up to two years in a single payment. We also have options for monthly recurring payments through Stripe or PayPal.
Do you charge extra for higher volume of roasted coffee?
No. We see volume pricing as a perverse incentive that leads companies to focus only on their largest customers. We believe in fair pricing that only charges extra for optional features.
Larger customers can always donate some of their savings from switching to artisan to support our open source development.
What's the difference between HOME and PRO?
Officially, PRO is our default offering. It is a one-price-fits-all solution for roasters of any size. However, we know that some hobby roasters, startups, or coffee growers want a low cost way to manage inventory. For this type of user, we created HOME which is essentially a subsidized version of PRO with an inventory cap to prevent abuse.
Some folks also like to treat HOME as a way to provide an annual donation to our open source development, and receive a few extra perks. We appreciate that approach too.
I don't need the platform but I want to support artisan
Thank you! While many people use artisan, relatively few subscribe or donate. In order to pay our team of three a living wage and cover our operating expenses, we rely on support from users like you.
You can sponsor us on GitHub, buy us a coffee, or subscribe to the platform even if you don't think you'll use it. Who knows? Maybe you end up using it more than you expected!
